1. Turn power on, using switch located along the right-hand side of the reader/printer, about half-way down from the top.
2. Pull out the microfiche tray, using its handle, until glass plates open up to receive fiche.
3. Place fiche between glass plates and push microfiche tray forward until plates close.
4. Slide microfiche tray under lens until you can see the item(s) you desire.
5. To position fiche on the tray, slide tray in desired direction and/or use image rotation knob.
6. To reduce or enlarge image, turn the blue spoked wheel located on the lens.
7. To bring the image into focus, turn the black spoked wheel located on the lens.
1. Center the image so that it fits between the black corner markings found on the screen. If necessary, use the blue and black spokedwheels, located on the lens, to properly size and focus the image.
2. Once image is centered between the corner markings, press the green print key found at the lower right of the screen. The copy will come out below the microfiche tray.
1. Remove microfiche from microfiche tray.
2. Turn off power.
3. Place in boxes on top of microform cabinets.
NOTE: Before loading microfilm, the microfiche tray must be "recessed into" the microfilm machine. To accomplish this, slide the tray all the way to the right and push it back until it reaches the stop position and clicks into place.
1. Turn machine on with the button located on lower right side-panel of reader toward front.
2. Pull tab on right front-panel to set film width at 16 mm (skinny) or 35 mm (wide).
3. Mount the film on the supply reel shaft on lower left front-panel, with the film set to roll off the spool clockwise from the top right. [Hint: Line up the square hole on the back of the reel with the square part of the metal shaft and "steer" the reel on.] Then pull and raise the take-up roll lever (directly to right of spool) toward you 1/2 inch and lift up 90°.
4. Manually feed the film leading edge into the film guide (green slot). Then lower the take-up roll lever and set it into home position.
5. Make sure Reverse/Forward knob indicator is straight up. Depress the loading key at lower right front-panel of reader.
6. Advance or reverse the film using the Reverse (counterclockwise)/Forward (clockwise) knob; there are varying speeds.
7. The image rotation knob (lower right front-panel) orients pages correctly. Vertical positioning can also be controlled, using the vertical position knob. The blue spoked wheel makes images larger or smaller; the gray spoked wheel focuses the image.
1. To photocopy, center the material to be printed within the four corner tabs superimposed on the screen. If necessary, use the blue and black spoked wheels, located on the lens, to properly size and focus the image.
2. Press the green print button; copies come out at knee level on front panel. Depressing N-P button will result in black print on white background; depressing P-P will result in white print on black background.
1. Rewind film with Reverse.
2. Return the Reverse/Forward knob to straight up position.
3. Turn off power.
4. Return microfilm reel to its box and place on top of microform cabinets.
